Its hard to beat a LiPo battery for portable field operation. This is a hand made 12v nominal, 3 cell pack, made with high quality Lithium Polymer cells. Great care is taken with assembly and testing of each pack to ensure reliability in the filed powering your equipment. Onboard is a BMS with the needed protections in place and yet in a very small form factor. Power Pole connectors are genuine and power leads are 16awg with silicone wire for reliability and flexibility. Each pack is tested for current discharge and capacity as well as proper balance charging.
LiPo packs should only be charge up to their specified voltage, 12.6 for this pack. Over charging will damage your pack. Do not use LifePO4 chargers. See my portable charger that can be used with a USB-C input.

This listing is a battery with both Anderson Power Poles and the needed connector for to plug into the OEM connector on the Circuit board of the KX1. You can use this for countless QRP rigs but also is a replacement for the internal AA batteries in the KX1 allowing for the higher typical 12v expected power output. I have laid out the internal battery components specifically to fit in the space available in the KX1. All battery specifications are based on Battery Cell and BMS specifications. Battery capacity can vary depending on use. All packs are spot welded with nickel strip and are either spot welded or soldered to the BMS. Power connectors are genuine Anderson Power Pole connectors. Packs include over charge, over discharge, cell balancing during charge and over current protection. Batteries must be handled with care and according to typical use guidelines including but not limited to over charge, over current draw, overheating, storage considerations etc. Due to the nature of energy density of LiPo batteries, handling care must be taken. Battery will be shipped in a low State of Charge and must be charged before use.
